Power Measurement



Power Meter is a device which is used to measure the actual power consumption in an electric circuit.

Wise Air WAPM series power meter is designed to measure the actual power consumption in Kw and accumulate the energy consumption in Kwh of a single phase or three phase load. Additionally it can measure other parameters like Current, Voltage, etc. Wise Air WAPM series power meter can be integrated with Data Logger to record the actual amount of energy being used in an Air Compressor. We can also install Power Meter during operation of compressor or even during shut down period.

Miniflex coils have been used for the detection and measurement of electric currents for Decades. They are based on a simple Principle: an “air-cored “coil is placed around the conductor in a toroidal fashion and the magnetic field produced by the current induces a voltage in the coil. The voltage output is proportional to the rate of change of current .This voltage is integrated, thus producing an output proportional to the current. By using precision winding techniques, especially developed for the purpose, the coils are manufactured so that the output is not influenced by the Position of the conductor within the toroid, and to reject interference from external magnetic fields caused for example, from nearby conductors, Basically a Miniflex Coil current Measuring System consists of a combination of a coil and conditioning electronics. Miniflex coil Current Transducers are used for the AC Measurement.

The transducer does not measure direct current but, unlike a current transformer, it can carry out accurate measurements of AC components even if there is a large super Imposed DC Component. Since there is no iron core causing saturation .This feature is particularly useful for measuring ripple Currents for example in battery charging systems.

Panel Mounted Power Meter


WAPM 4200 SERIES Mini Integrator
WAPM 4200 Series is a mini Miniflex coil integrator combined with a power meter or PLC, in a plastic enclosure,
powered directly from the mains.

What does Integrator Do?
• Miniflex coil output is weak voltage mV Signal, integrator has ability to amplify and convert it to Standard signal
which could be captured by multimeter and scope.
• Miniflex coil output is proportional to the frequency of the measured current, the signal equalization ensure
a linear response on a wide frequency range. It allows to use coils on different electrical network frequencies,
keeping the same output level over the frequencies.
• An integrator is essential to equalize and shift by 90”the output signal from the Miniflex coils. It consists of an
active electronic circuit with negligible offset and a good linearity.
