WAFS – 104

THERMAL MASS FLOW SENSOR

The WAFS 104 is designed to be easy to use, affordable and it’s offering a wide measurement range. This makes it easy for you to choose the right flow meter, the WAFS 104 which fits your needs. The WAFS 104 is a thermal mass flow meter, based on its measurement principle it’s not required to compensate the compressed air pressure and temperature, so you do not need any additional measurement installations to measure the flow and the consumption.

Due to the thermal mass flow, the flow meter is also well suited to be used in any other gas as Nitrogen or many other technical gases. The WAFS 104 sensor technology offers you a high resolution and a high sampling rate, which results in a very fast and precise measurement.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a thermal mass flow sensor work?

A thermal mass flow sensor measures gas flow by detecting heat transfer from a heated element. As compressed air flows past the sensor, it carries away heat proportional to the mass flow rate.

What are the advantages of thermal mass flow sensors for compressed air?

Thermal mass flow sensors offer no moving parts, low pressure drop, direct mass flow measurement, wide turndown ratio, and minimal maintenance requirements for compressed air systems.

Can the WAFS 104 measure different gases?

While optimized for compressed air, the WAFS 104 thermal mass flow sensor can be calibrated for other industrial gases including nitrogen, oxygen, and natural gas.
